Abstract The aim of this work was to make a comparative study between the effect of Aescen phonophoresis in treatment of pain, enhancing range of motion at the knee joint and swelling relief of chondromalacia patellae in athletic children in comparison to therapeutic ultra sound. Results: The study group (B) treated with Aescen phonophoresis showed significant differences only in pain relief and no effect was recorded in range of motion of the knee joint. Significant difference was recorded in pain according to VAS between the two groups after treatment in a favor of group (B). Conclusion: According to the results of this study supported by the relevant literature it can be concluded that Aescen phonophoresis (PH) has significant effect in relieving pain in patients with chondromalacia patellae |
