Abstract

Using multi-objective optimization techniques within quality improvement methodologies open and enhance the link between operations research tools and techniques and quality improvement techniques. In this thesis a new methodology proposed to link between multi-objective techniques and six-sigma methodology. Six-Sigma considered one of most important quality improvement strategy focus on variability reduction between processes. Six-Sigma applied in continuous quality improvement in manufacturing, services, and health care sectors through project basis frame work. Using the proposed methodology improves the current six-sigma methodology to be able to deal with two or more critical process output simultaneously. Here the proposed methodology presented and its main steps and techniques, and the main changes have been developed on the current methodology, and the application of the proposed methodology in chromojet printing process. chromojet printing is technique used in carpet printing all over the world. The application of the proposed methodology on chromojet will focus on developing two characteristic models that link between the main process inputs and two process outputs separately using design of experiment technique (DOE) and then we formulate multi-objective Mathematical model and solve the model using weighting method to get efficient solution satisfy and improve the two process output
