Abstract Education of the patient and his/her family, modification of risk factors and life style changes are the most important factors affecting prognosis in interventional treatment, so this study was conducted to examine the effect of patient education on quality of life among myocardial infarction patient who will undergo cardiac revascularization. The main research hypothesis was The study subjects who participate in patient education program will have a positive change in their quality of life and knowledge level as compared to their own prior participation in the education program.Research Design: A quasi-experimental research design (time seriesdesign) was utilized in the current study. Subjects: A purposeful sample amounted to 100 hospitalized adult male and female patients, diagnosed with myocardial infarctionand undergoing revascularization were recruited.The educational program was implemented a long period of time 3 months about physical activity,nutrition assessment and smoking cessation after revascularization for study subjects through individualized interview |
