Faculty Faculty of Education Department Curriculum and Instruction University October 6 University & Helwan University Degree PhD in Education( Curriculum& EFL Instruction) Year 2022 Supervisors Prof. Soheir Ibrahim Mohamed Seleim Assistant-Prof. Mohamed Farrag Badawi Dr. Lamia Kamel Mohammed Kamel The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of the Shadowing instruction on developing EFL Oral skills and motivation for preparatory schools pupils. The study tried to investigate the existence of any significant difference in the oral performance of pupils who learnt through the Shadowing Instruction and those who learnt through regular instruction. Thus, the participants of the study (60) pupils who were selected and were randomly divided into two groups the experimental group and the control group (30 pupils per group). The necessary oral skills were determined through the use of a checklist that was approved by a jury of specialists in teaching EFL Then, a pre/post-oral test and a motivation scale were designed and administered to the study participants. The test was pre-administered to them before the experiment. During the experiment which lasted for two months (eight weeks), the experimental group received instruction through Shadowing and Video-Tracking Instruction, while the control group received regular instruction .After the experiment, the test was post-administered to the participants. The study results revealed that the experimental group pupils’ performance improved due to the effect of Shadowing Instruction treatment. |
