Abstract The high esthetic demands of the patients and anatomical difficulties regarding implant placement in the anterior maxilla is one of the most important challenges in terms of soft and hard tissue evaluation and long-term survival rate. Aim: The aim of this randomized controlled trial study was to compare the PEEK abutment versus titanium abutment, regarding (MBL) and (BOP) as a treatment modality in maxillary esthetic zone using immediate loading protocol. Methodology: Twenty-two patients were selected from the outpatient clinic of the Implantology Department to restore single missing tooth in maxillary esthetic zone. Patients were randomly allocated into two groups: PEEK abutment (group 1) and Titanium abutment (group 2), both groups received PMMA restoration as temporary crown. Patients were recalled for marginal bone loss assessment immediately after crown cementation,6 and 12 months while for bleeding on probing assessment 1 month after crown cementation and then followed 4 months and 8 months from each aspect of implant. |
