Abstract
The reaction of 2-phenyl benzoxazine with different amine derivatives lead to formation of quinazolinones d 2, 7 that used as chiral auxiliary for the asymmetric synthesis of α-alkylated ketones. The reaction of compounds 2, 7 with ketone derivatives lead to formation quinazolinone Schiff base 3, 8 which was deprotonated using Li-CHIPA at very low different temperatures followed by alkylation with different alkyl halide to give quinazolinone α-alkylated Schiff base 4, 9 that was hydrolyzed via methane sulphonic acid and give α-alkylated ketones 5, 10 with high enantiomeric purity.
