المستخلص
The aim of this research is, to study the relationship between the University entrepreneurial activities, and the University performance as a third-generation university oriented to entrepreneurship. This is done through applying it to Cairo University as part of the Higher Education Market in Egypt. The study proved that there is a positive relationship between entrepreneurship activities and the University performance. Moreover, the study concluded on teaching the entrepreneurship activities as a real demand to students in order to improve and develop performance.
This is in fact is calculated for the University enlightened leadership. As entrepreneurship in the last decade has attracted the attention of both decision makers and researchers. Further, one of the main reasons for interest in entrepreneurship is to accelerate the wheel of development; and thus, generate ideas and turn them into profitable projects which create job opportunities and ignite competition.
Entrepreneurship is an integrated process that means creativity and providing something new and innovative that has value, by spending the necessary time and effort to achieve this, while bearing all financial, physical and social risks and risks of uncertainty from achieving the desired results, and this is in exchange for achieving material and personal satisfaction for the entrepreneur. We find that society in general suffers from confusion and randomness in creating new job opportunities, making many decisions and addressing many ideas and beliefs, which led to the emergence of many problems at all levels, whether intellectual, cultural or social. This confusion and randomness are due to the quality and style of thinking prevailing within some societies, groups or intellectual and cultural currents.
Here, the importance of training individuals to practice the process of sound and good thinking, as this helps them to reach more mature ideas and decisions and more consistent with logic, and effectively contributes to making the right decision and helps to reach better results and reach the highest levels of understanding of different situations and visions. Accordingly, the human being becomes positive and valuable and has an impact on our society and also has a major role in the process of development, development and problem solving.
The ‘entrepreneurial university’ has gained prominence as a knowledge and innovation actor, key to competitiveness, stimulation of economic growth and wealth creation in today’s globalized world (Pugh, R., et al 2018)
