Abstract

Among the total patients in the 1st year (92), 61 had one access and 31 had more than one access with total of 186 VA, while in the 2nd year the total patients were (89), 59 patients had one access and 30 had more than one access with total of 163 VA
During the first year, 49 episodes of VARI were recorded, while in 2nd year, 26 episodes were recorded.
Vascular access infection could be in form of blood stream infection or local infection. Local infection with vascular catheter was in form of exit site or tunnel infection and with AVF was in form of cellulitis,
