Abstract This thesis aims to schedule the electrical vehicles (EVs) charging to avoid its negative impacts. The EVs charging scheduleis optimized and solved using particle swarm optimization. Different strategiessuch as separated, accumulated, and ranked strategies with continuous or interrupted fixed charging have beentested on the modified IEEE 31 bus system using OpenDSS&MATLAB. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed accumulated ranked strategy in improving the overall performance, such as minimizing the peak power consumed, losses, and voltage drop. Moreover, the cost of the EVs charging has been decreasedby 40.1%. |
