Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the effect of active life style on liability to urinary tract infection in post menopausal women. Five hundered post menopausal women were participated in this study, their age ranged from 50 to 60 years old. Regarding activity, the participants were divided into two groups (A and B). group (A): (active group) consisted of 360 post menopausal women with active life style. group (B): (sedentary group) consisted of 140 post menopausal women with sedentary life style. Each post menopausal woman in either groups (A and B) was asked to answer 15 questions included in 2 questionnaires questionnaires (physical activity questionnaire and UTI questionnaire). The results of this study revealed that there was a high statisticaly significant difference between both groups (A and B) in their response to survey questions of physical activity questionnaire where the p-value was (0.001) for all questions in favor of group (A). The percentage of urinary tract infection showed statistically significant higher values in group (B) (46.6%) than in group (A) (36%). So ,it could be concluded that post menopausal women with sedentary life style may be more liable to urinary tract infection than women with active life style
