Abstract Prostaglandin analogues are the most effective Antiglaucoma medication. We did cross sectional study and involved One hundred patients who were found to have a variety of disorders, including deepening of the superior sulci (42/100), hypertrichosis (23/100), lengthening of eyelashes (48/100), and Hyperpigmentation of skin surrounding the eye (40/100) While topical prostaglandin analogs are well-tolerated by many patients with glaucoma, some individuals using these medications develop structural changes of the orbital soft tissue resulting in a variety of cosmetic and functional eyelid disorders. Such as lengthening of eyelashes, hypertrichosis, hyperpigmentation of skin surrounding the eye and deepening of sulci. These adverse effects mostly take place mostly with bimatoprost then travoprost, latanoprost and least with tafluprost. |
