Abstract Anophthalmia is a severe form of ocular malformation characterized by the absence of an eye. and The loss of an eye presents severe emotional stress and commonly results in negative consequence to social behavior.so, the use of an ocular prosthesis to improve cosmetic appearance, as well as ameliorating social acceptance. But unfortunetly, Prosthetic eye wearers frequently suffer from dryness, irritation, discomfort, discharge, and asticky sensation. In this study, we studied 40 patients with unilateral anopthalmic socket wearing PMMA prosthetic eye and compared them with their contralateral normal eye. |
