Abstract An experimental study had been executed to investigate the preloading effect on the flexural trend of High Strength reinforced concrete strengthened (HSRCS) beams, preloadingthebeamwithpreloadinglevels 90% and 70% and 50% Seven HSRCS beams were tested Two types of strengthening were used; strengthening by Steel plates and strengthening by CFRP sheets. We conclude from this study strengthening with CFRP is more sufficient for all preloading level of HSRCS beams, and strengthening with steel plates is more sufficient for low preloading level of HSRCS beams. |
