Abstract This study was conducted to a herbal remnants feed additives supplementation (mint, fennel, basil and anise) with or without probiotics to replace 50% from alfalfa hay in rabbits diet effects on productive, performance and healthy system of growing New Zealand White rabbits. A total of 108 weaned New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits used in this study. This study had shown the effects of experimental diets on rabbit digestion coefficient of nutrients, productive and growth performance, carcass characteristics, meat chemical composition, fatty and amino acids components, blood parameters, Moreover, the economic efficiency was studied. The four remnants were obtained after oil extraction and were incorporated in rabbit diets, rabbits randomly assigned in to 9 experimental groups; the experimental period lasted for 8 weeks. These aims were carried out using F-test for significance at P {u2264} 0.05 and computing of ”Least Significant Difference (L.S.D.)”. The result indicated that: In remnant diets with or without probiotics: by chemical analysis the results indicated that: the highest percent of DM and CP was found in control diet, OM and CF in basil, ash and NFE in fennel. Moreover, the lowest percent of NFE was found in control diet, CP in mint, Ash and EE in basil, DM in anise, OM and CF in fennel. And by fiber fraction analysis the results concluded that: Mint diet was the highest percent of NDF, ADF, ADL, Cellulose and Hemi- cellulose. Nonetheless, the lowest percent of NDF, ADF and ADL was found in anise. Moreover, Cellulose and Hemi- cellulose in fennel. The results showed that rabbits fed diets containing anise+ probiotics remnants had the highest value of (DCP), (TDN), (DE) and (GE), and indicated that probiotics was positive significant with DCP, TDN, DE, GE and energy coefficient (EC) |
