Introduction: There are several autoantibodies that require attention in lupus nephritis (LN), including their use in diagnosis, monitoring and their role in the pathogenesis. Among these autoantibodies, anti-C1q and antinucleosme antibodies. Objectives: The current study is proposed to investigate the prevalence of anti-C1q and anti-nuclesome antibodies in sera of Egyptian SLE patients and to assess their association with lupus nephritis. Methods: Eighty patients, suffering from SLE diagnosed according to American Colleage of Rheumatology 1997 (ACR) revised criteria for SLE was enrolled in the study. Patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1: Forty patients with renal biopsy-proven lupus nephritis. group 2: Forty patients with SLE with no clinical or laboratory findings of renal involvement at the time of the study. This group was considered as a control group. All patients were subjected to complete history taking, physical examination, routine laboratory tests, assessment of ANA& Anti-DsNA. Estimation of Anti-C1q & Anti-Nucleosome antibodies using (ELISA). Results: Serum anti-C1q antibody was statistically significant higher with Lupus nephritis (LN group) (P<0.01) and with cutaneous vasculitis (p<0.05) while anti-nuclesome antibody was not statistically significant with LN. Double positive antibodies showed a statistically significant association with the presence of cutaneous vasculitis and high ECLAM score (P {u02C2}0.01).Conclusion: serum anti-C1q antibody has a statistically significant association with Lupus nephritis (LN group) while anti-nuclesome antibody doesn’t have a statistically significant association with LN
