Abstract Nursing is a profession that often encounters unpredicted situations and involves taking care of patients with dissimilar backgrounds and health conditions, hence nurses managers need to go beyond routine work and acquire creative thinking to create beneficial decisions. Creative thinking can have a powerful influence on the decision making and problem solving that nurse managers are challenged with on a daily basis. To be good decision makers, managers should have creative thinking abilities and be able to respond rapidly to situations. (Chisengantambu-Winters et al., 2019). According to García et al., (2020) There are three functional roles within nursing administration, the operational nurse manager (implements his or her role at the unit level), the logistic nurse manager (implements his or her role at the department level), and the top nurse manager (implements his or her role at the organizational level). Creativity is considered to be important for societal and economic growth. At the individual, team, and organizational levels, creativity has been argued to be a vital enabler and contributor to performance, entrepreneurship, growth, and competitiveness. The significance of creativity has been firmly established - organizations which fail to innovate or to be creative are at danger of losing their competitiveness and sustainability. Creativity has become a vital theme across a variety of tasks, occupations, and industries (Suifan and AlJanini, 2017). Decision-making is one of the most essential functions of managers in any kind of organization. It is central managerial action in all types of business organizations; big and small, for-profit and not - profit, private and public (Alhawamdeh and Alsmairat, 2019). . |
