Abstract In this research work, a new methodology is introduced to detect water leakage in large-scale distribution networks through understanding the relation between leakage location and corresponding pressure difference caused by this leakage; detection sensors are installed along the studied network to calculate the pressure difference. Fuzzy logic is used as an inverse tool to identify leakage location through analyzing these sensors reading. The collected readings are entered to fuzzy logic tool under MATLAB as training data to give FIS the ability to make an inverse operation and expect leakage location if the pressure difference readings are known |
