Abstract In the present work, highly inverse correlation between the tilt angle (TA) of heliospheric current sheet (HCS) and the cosmic ray intensity (CRI) has been noted while highly positive correlation has been observed between the TA of HCS and the sunspot number (Rz). In cases of the interplanetary magnetic field and the solar plasma density, the correlations were weak and negative. In addition, the correlation was moderate in case of the solar wind speed. Our results confirmed that the sensitivity of the CRI to changes in the TA of HCS was rigidity-dependence and the time lag between the TA of HCS and the CRI was smaller throughout the even solar activity cycles (22 and 24) as compared to the odd solar activity cycles (21 and 23) |
