Abstract The purpose of this work is to point out the utilization of a novel low-temperature thermal cycle to produce electricity and fresh water suggested by Prof. Dr. Amin Mobarak. The heat energy utilized in this cycles is solar energy at temperature lower than 90{u00B0}C. The thermodynamic analysis of the cycle shows that the thermal utilization of the available energy may reach 80%, while the amount of produced fresh water could reach 300 tons/MW.hr. The goal is to propose a specific design for a novel thermal plant and evaluate the size of a MSF desalination unit and the associated heat exchanging equipment for the plant for electricity and fresh water production |
