Abstract Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Mathematical Astronomy) The aim of the thesis is to review the recent antiproton results from space experiments for the indirect detection of dark matter. The evidence of dark matter is reviewed. The different candidates and search approaches are discussed. The several uncertainties challenging the confirmation of the recent AMS-02 signal are reviewed. The upcoming SPD experiment at the NICA collider is introduced. A Monte Carlo study for the measurement of antiproton yield at the SPD is performed. It is shown that the SPD experiment could significantly contribute to the indirect search for dark matter by lowering the uncertainty on the antiproton-production cross sections |
