Abstract

Due to the novelty of the organizational ambidexterity paradigm in literature, different fundamental issues have not been investigated yet. from this standpoint, the current study is directed to investigate - the mediating- role of knowledge management systems in the relationship between high-performance work systems and organizational ambidexterity in Telecom Egypt Company (WE). Thus, the exploratory research design was used to investigate the research phenomena within the business field of WE Company and develop the conceptual framework. Then, the conclusive- descriptive study used a mixed-methods design (triangulation design), targeting the population of 2870 managers and employees in the headquarter of WE Company located in Smart- Village in Egypt. In the data-collection stage, for the qualitative method, 30 online and offline semi-structured and in-depth interviews had been conducted based on probability stratified (systematic) sampling method. For the quantitative method, 277 valid online questionnaires (Google form) were collected out of 339 distributed questionnaires with a response rate of 82%, based on the probability stratified (systematic) sampling method. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, macro- PROCESS, and Structural Equation Modelling via AMOS used to analyze the collected data.The findings indicated that the high-performance work systems have a significant positive direct relationship with organizational ambidexterity. Furthermore, the high-performance work systems in terms of ability and opportunity enhancing practices have a significant positive direct relationship with the organizational ambidexterity
