Abstract

Pseudomonas septicemia is one of the critical infectious diseases affecting breeding fish in fish farms caused by P. aeruginosa and is responsible for hemorrhagic septicemia signs on fins, mouth and all body parts besides ulcers, abdominal dropsy, and exophthalmia.
This study was done on 210 apparently healthy live O.niloticus with an average body weight (18±2gm), obtained from the Abassa Fish Hatchery inSharkia Province, Egypt. Atotal number of 90 Nile tilapia used in pathogencity test to determine virulence of P. aeruginosa strains, as they equally divided into 3 groups; each group has three replicates (10 fish/ replicate) and P. aeruginosa strain were inoculated I/P and I/M in G2 and G3 (0.5 ml/fish with 24hrs old bacterial cell suspension with a concentration of 4 x 107cfu.ml-1.
