Abstract

Since the discovery of the almost intact tomb, KV36 little information is known about the tomb Ilrmr, Maiherpri. The tomb dates back to the Eighteenth Dynasty based on the only burial
Iliad inside it. Furthermore, a number of controversial questions are imposed about the identity
of maiherpri, his origin, position and contemporary period.
The belongings of Maiherpri are the only sources of information about him and his contemporary piad- Majority of the items were discriped by Daressy in the Catalogue of the Egyptianlbhseum. Recently, Forbes offered reconsidered view for some of these items. Yet, the
pm-”iously mentioned points remain unsettled.
-Reasons of choosing the topic:
Despite the fact that the tomb has been discovered for more than a century, yet only few articles ikcussed the owner of the tomb and his identity. The topic lacked the comprehensive academic
study that offers all the available information about Maiherpri, his tomb and its contents usingobservation, analysis, and comparison with the closest similar.
The importance of tomb KV36, Maiherpri’s house of eternity is being one of the very rareindividual tombs found almost intact in the valley of kings. Studying this tomb introducesignificant information about the individual tombs and its usual contents in the Valley of Kingscspecially in the Eighteenth Dynasty. Additionally, studying the tomb contents offered our historical records about their owner and his contemporary period.
-Importance of the study:
The study offers some knowledge about how the individual tombs looklike in the Valley of King, tlri layout, their decoration and their usual contents especially in Eighteenth Dynasty.
Fwthermore, analyzing the robbery’s traces pointed at the robbery time, purpose and even suggesting the identitv of the thieves.
