Abstract

Foraminifera are one the most important group in micropaleontolog because they are the most widespread protozoa in the marine and brackish water environments. Foraminifera are easy to collect and are often found in high density populations, providing a suitable statistical base even in small volume samples. Therefore, they are used widely in ecological, biostratigraphical, paleoecological and paleobiogeographical studies all over the world and also as indicator of environmental conditions and pollution.
