المستخلص The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a training program based on the techniques of applied behavior analysis in developing independence skills and reducing repetitive behaviors in children with autism, and the study sample consisted of (15) children with autism, the time period ranged between (5-8) Years with an average age (6,75) and a standard deviation (0.96), and their intelligence percentage ranged between (69-84) with an average (74) and a standard deviation (4,61) and an autism coefficient between (90-112) with an average (102,53) and a standard deviation (7,19), and the study sample was divided into two groups, one experimental (8) children and control group (7) children, and the study tools were is the list of independent skills assessment (researcher’s preparation), and the list of repetitive behaviors assessment (researcher’s preparation), and the training program based on the techniques of applied behavior analysis, The results of the study showed that There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the mean sort of the pre- and post-measurement scores for the independence skills in children with autism in the experimental group in favor of post-measurement, there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the mean sort for children with autism in the control and experimental groups scores in the post-independence measurement of independence skills in favor of the experimental group, there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean sort of degrees of pre and post measurements of repetitive behaviors in children with autism in the experimental group in favor of the pre-measurement except for the third dimension as well (repetitive restrictive behaviors), and there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean sort for children with autism disorder in both the control and experimental groups scores in the post measurement of the repetitive behaviors in favor of the control group except for the third dimension as well (restrictive repetitive behaviors). Which shows the effectiveness of the training program in developing independence skills, and reducing repetitive behaviors among children with autism. |
