master Thesis Abstract
”The Relationship between Psychological and Social Stresses and the Creative Thinking of the Role Theory for Case Work”
Conducted astudent / Hoda Mohammed Hussein Ali study entitled ” The Relationship between Psychological and Social Stresses and the Creative Thinking of the Role Theory for Case Work ” .
Supervision by both :

And that is during the period from the start of registration 10/11/2019 unitle 30/3/2021 ”Below is abrief summary of the study.
I- Problem of the study:-
Life is full of stressful experiences and significant impacts with multifarious sources such as home or work to a degree that some call our recent age as ”The age of perturbation and stresses” whether it results from social stresses such as customs and traditions that restrict someone’s ideas, family disputes and mistreating all people surrounding them or psychological stresses such as worry about the future, feeling of a state of fear of expecting what will happen, will be the worst or a state of stress which an individual feels when confronting a stressful experience in life.
This negatively affects our abiligies to better perform our responsibilities and roles, postgraduate students, especially the ph. D, are not immune to theses pressures. Rather , they are the most exposed to it due to the nature of their studies in addition to it’s negative impact on their ability to think in a more creative way and address new ideas in research and study that were not proposed by before they play their role researchers to the fullest extent and face the situations and acstacles they face during their studies.
There are many careers like medical careers which contribute a lot reducing stresses. The social work is regarded as one of the most prominent humanitarian careers concerned with dealing with individuals, groups and communities. It endeavors to achieve integral, therapeutic, protective and developmental purposes.
There are many ways of social work in aspect. Case work is considered one of main ways aiming at helping other units overcoming their problems and satisfying their needs.
Case work applies many models and theories such as role theory for helping individuals getting over their problems.
According to what was mentioned above, the recent study endeavors to recognize the relationship between social and psychological stresses and creative thinking to post graduate students at the doctorate stage.
II- Importance of the study
1) The rapid breakthrough that our recent age witnesses and technological and scientific progress which have left behind a new pattern of many problems to which traditional solutions are in vain. Hence, we are compelled to develop and renew our ways of thinking so as to be more creative and coping with the recent age.
2) The urgent necessity for preparing a generation of creative students with skills and abilities of creative thinking to enable them to seek ways towards problem-solving and stresses they are exposed to.
3) Drawing the most attention to such category of people as post graduate students because they are more exposed to social, psychological and academic stresses than any other students. In addition, this stage involves a lot of burdens and responsibilities.
4) Increasing the number of the students enrolled in post graduate studies program at the Faculty of Social Work, Assiut University as it estimates eighty two out of three hundred and ninety students enrolled at the stage of doctorate for the university year: 2019/2020.
5) Lack of research and studies that discuss the relationship between social and psychological stresses and creative thinking for post graduate students.
III- The objectives of the study
This study endeavors to achieve the key objective, ”Determining the relationship between the social and psychological stresses and the creative thinking of post graduate students; a lot of subordinate objectives emanated from the basic one running as follows:-
1) Putting a limit on the relationship between social and psychological stresses and the dimension of fluency for post graduate students.
2) Putting a limit on the relationship between social and psychological stresses and the dimension of flexibility for post graduate students.
3) Putting a limit on the relationship between social and psychological stresses and the dimension of originality for post graduate students.
4) Putting a limit on the relationship between social and psychological stresses and the dimension of integrity for post graduate students.
IV- The hypotheses of the study:
The recent study tries to investigate the validity of the following hypotheses:-
The basic hypothesis standing for: ”There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and the creative thinking among post graduate students”. A lot of subordinate hypotheses emanate from the fundamental hypothesis running as follows:-
1) There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and fluency among post graduate students.
2) There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and flexibility among post graduate students.
3) There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and originality among post graduate students.
4) There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and integrity among post graduate students.
V- Concepts of the study:
1) Concept of social and psychological stresses.
2) Concept of creative thinking.
VI- Methodological procedures of the study:
1- Type of study:
It’s categorized as a descriptive study.
2- Methodology used in the study :
This study is based upon an approach of a social survey as one which is mainly used in descriptive research.
3- Fields of the study:
a. The human domain : The study is applied on a sample of 60 doctorate stage students of both males and females who estimated sixty.
b. The space domain : The study was carried out at the Faculty of Social Work, Assiut University.
c. The time domian : It’s a bilateral study; a theoretical aspect and a practical one. Hence, it took the study one and a half years to be accomplished.
VII- The important results of the study:-
This study has reached the following results: ”There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and the creative thinking among post graduate students”. The value of calculating ”R” proved to be greater than the value of scheduling ”R” at abstract level of (0, 01) and freedom degrees of fifty. This emphasizes the validity of the basic hypothesis of the study which said, ”There is a negative relationship with statistic indication between the social and psychological stresses and the creative thinking among post graduate students”.
