Abstract
A total of 212 samples {110 swab samples from 55 healthy chickens (55 cloacal and 55 oropharengeal), 102 internal organs of 46 diseased broiler chickens( 38 from heart, 34 from liver, 12 from lung, 6 from yolk, 6 from spleen and 6 from intestine)} were collected from different farms in Ismailia governorate, Egypt. Samples were subjected to bacteriological examination for isolation and identification of Klebsiella. The overall percentage of isolated Klebsiella was isolated 25.5% (54 isolates). The percentage of Klebsiella was 52.94% from internal organs of diseased broiler chickens. The percentage of isolated Klebsiella from internal organs of diseased broiler chickens was 52.94% (54 isolates), out of them {60.53% (23 isolates) from heart samples, 64.71% (22 isolates) from liver samples, 25% (3 isolates) from lung samples, 0% (0 isolates) from yolk samples, 50% (3 isolates) from spleen samples and 50% (3 isolates) from intestine samples}.
