Abstract Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is considered the commonest cause of dementia among the elderly. It is characterized by progressive memory loss and cognitive impairment. Despite the increased incidence, there is no effective curative treatment for AD until now. Aluminium (Al) is a ubiquitous toxic metal. Al neurotoxicity has been linked with cognitive dysfunction. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) therapy has been considered a recent strategy for treatment of several diseases. Previous experiments proved that BM-MSCs have an important role in amelioration of some neurologic disorders. |
