Abstract Starting from the recent interdisciplinary field known as linguisticsinformatics, this research focuses on French idioms by studying them from several linguistic approaches intertwined with each other; lexicography, phraseology, semantics, socioterminology, translation. Our research comes within the framework of a project of construction of a computerized bilingual phraseological dictionary (French - Arabic) like an onomasiological collection, that is to say that it will gather expressions and phraseologies having a common denotation. The main idea is to collect idiotisms not alphabetically, but according to certain semantic criteria of lexicalization and indexing and to translate them into Arabic in order to create a bilingual lexical database [BDLB] for the phraseological units which will be disseminated in the form of a techno language platform to serve ALAO and the translation memories attached to TRADOS SDL program. We will also seek to present computerization as a research object, its current scope and the questions it brings to light on language. The central problem of this research lies in the attempt to find a standard answer to the following question: How to take advantage of linguistic-informatics and computerization to create a digital linguistic platform and translated into Arabic for French idiotisms to serve computer assisted tools (CAT)? What are the technical methods resources that bridge the gap between lexicography, socioterminology and phraseology?. |
