Abstract

Continuous quality improvement is essential in schools of nursing. Extra importance has to be given to the nursing students’ perception of their environmental learning. Their perception may be used to initiate change and development. The environment in which learning takes place can have an impact on the outcome of learning, academic achievement, and the progress a student makes during their college years ( Thomas, et al, 2018).The aim of the present study was to to examine the relationship between educational climate and nursing students’ achievement. A descriptive correlational design used to achieve the aim of this study. The present work was conducted at five female secondary nursing schools in Dakahlia Governorate that selected through systematic random sample namely; met Ghamr, Elsenbelaween, Meniat Elnasr ,Belqas, and Gamasa. The study sample included all nursing students at the five nursing schools (n=463). Two tools were utilized for data collection: frist tool : The Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure (DREEM) to assess perception of nursing student toward educational climate, and second one: students achievement sheet was developed by researcher and contains students final score, name of the school, and the academic year . The main findings of the study were as follows . The highest percentage of nurse students were in the age group range from fiften to seventen years old in Belqas, Gamasa, Senbelaween, Met Ghamer and Meniat Elnasr schools (67.8%,53.6%,62.8%,67.8%, & 67.8% respectively ). The highest percentage of nurse students in all nursing schools perceived the educational environment more positive than negative with statistically significant diffrences ( ᵪ2˭ 39.18 and P ˭ 0.000 ).
