Abstract

Satisfaction and loyalty are now identified as a major Issue in the
hospitality industry. This study aims to dennine factors affecting
senior citizens satisfaction and loyalty in five-star hotels in Egypt. To achieve this aim, this study employed a selfadministered questionnaire as the data collection instrument.
The questionnaire was divided into two parts. Part one included demographic data and part two included four sections: (1 ) servicescape, (2) servequal, (3) •socialscape and (4) satisfaction & loyalty. The SPSS program version 20 was used to perform descriptive analysis, one way analysis of variance (ANOV A) and Post Hoc
(Tucky Test HSD) to detennine the variance between seniors and
other age categories in hotels. Pearson One Moment Correlation was used to determine the relationships between factors. The multible regression was used to know effects of independent variables (servicescape, servequal and socialscape) on depedent variables
(loyalty and satisfaction). The sobel z test was used to identify the role
of mediating factor.
The findings reflected the factors affecting senior citizens satisfaction
and loyalty in five star hotels and the differences between seniors and
other ages. There was a significant difference between elderly and
other ages in relation to sevicescape spatial conditional design,
servicescape spatial conditional layout, servicescape spatial
conditional color and servicescape ambient music. There was a
significant difference between elderly and other ages in relation to
servequal reliability, servequal empathy, servequal responsiveness and
servequal assurance. There was a significant difference between
elderly and other ages in relation to socialscape social mass.
