School bullying is a phenomenon that the whole world is complaining about and suffers from its scourge, and those interested in the educational process and the generation of generations are looking for ways to treat it for its seriousness, and that has been a long time ago, and that phenomenon has received extraordinary attention from those interested in issues and problems of education in all parts of the world; where this problem is considered An important and influencing cause for many students to falter in school, and it may lead some to hate studying and leave it altogether, which is the phenomenon of extreme violence in schools among students, which reached a level of brutality to the extent that the world dealt with it in a new descriptive name and called it ”bullying phenomenon”, as a sign of Slow shift Humanitarian behavior is similar to the behavior of the animal in dealing in the forest where there is no survival for the weak and no judgment except for the language of brutal force without regard to ethical creation or virtuous behavior.
But in order to classify the aggressive behavior as bullying, this behavior must be repeated and intentional and that occurs between a strong party and another weak, and the circle of bullying includes both the bully and the victim, as well as spectators, and bullying usually occurs in places where there is less oversight and away from the eyes of adults.
Bullying has spread in our schools frighteningly, for several reasons, including watching films of violence, even if it is cartoon films, as the latter is faster in delivering the message to the child. And the educational defect in some families and the family’s concern for following up their children behaviorally is among the reasons that led to the spread of this phenomenon, as the wrong methods of family upbringing, either by excessive demonstration or extreme violence, may be a cause of widespread bullying, in addition to the weak role of educational institutions and the absence of Religious intent.
School bullying has many serious effects on students, whether they are bullies or victims. We find that the bully suffers from many behavioral problems represented in aggression, wing, and anti-social behavior, difficulty in controlling his emotions, depression, drinking alcohol, problems in school, drug use, low level of achievement as He imposes his powers on others in his teenage years and then becomes a threat to them. As for the victim of bullying, he suffers anxiety, low self-esteem and sadness, and feels lack of support by others, severe blame for self, isolation, withdrawal from social attitudes, deficiency in social skills, and a limited number of friends. Or no friends at all.
Also, the role of education is no longer limited to developing the capabilities of the individual and providing them with different skills that enable them to engage in the labor market, but includes caring for what is called the motives, because the performance of the individual and his insistence on doing any work does not happen spontaneously, but depends on what he has motivated for achievement that excites his behavior Towards the endeavor to achieve itself through its tasks and goals, which ultimately leads to the success and supremacy of the individual, and this in turn is reflected in the extent of the society’s sophistication and development, and by this we see that the success or failure of many students may be largely due to their different motivations, If the student has a strong motivation to learn M helped him to amend his behavior and also helped him to success and excellence, but if this is not available motivation produces failure in most cases . The matter does not stop at this point, but rather it must go beyond how to stimulate the students ’motivation in order to participate with interest and intent in the learning process. Each learner performs an educational work that adopts specific goals during the learning process and these goals are what make him exert more effort and help him to continue to complete the tasks as well Increase his perseverance.
Therefore, the goal orientation theory was built in the light of the social cognitive theory, which is concerned with the perceived goals in attainment attitudes, and thus this modern theory began to be concerned with Motivation in the social and cognitive framework, that is, it focuses on the goal that the individual aspires to complete for a task (the reason for motivation) and thus it is a qualitative theory of motivation, the importance of this trend is evident in that it has become a framework for many applied works in schools in Western countries, and has even gone beyond that until this trend has become the most important research orientation in the field of motivation and emotions in the International Council for Mental Health since 1995, The International Council of Mathematics Teachers also stressed the importance of adopting the criteria used in evaluation on an important principle, which is the need for learners to understand that how to reach an answer is more important than the answer itself in the past decade, and this recommendation won the approval of 49 states from the United States of America at the present time.
The goal orientation theory is a social cognitive theory that was formulated in the twentieth century, and despite being a modern theory, it has become the most used reference frameworks when studying motivation, and This theory started with the binary model, then the triple model, and then the quadrilateral model emerged, which consists of the following dimensions: mastery / intent goals - mastery / retracement goals - performance / intent goals - performance / retracement goals
Study problem:
The study problem is represented in the following main question
”What is the effectiveness of the training program in reducing school bullying and its effect on the goal orientations of primary school students?” And through it we get to know:
- Are there differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the telemetry on the bullying scale?
- Are there differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the Telemetryon the goal orientation scale?
- Are there differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in Pre-testand the Telemetryon the bullying scale?
- Are there differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in Pre-testand the Telemetry on the goal orientation scale?
- Are there differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the Telemetry and trackingon the bullying scale?
- Are there differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the Telemetry and trackingmeasures on the goal orientation scale?
Objectives of the study:
The objectives of the current study are summarized in:
- Reducing school bullying among primary school students through the training programprepared by the researcher.
- Learn about the impact of the effectiveness of the proposed program after stopping it during the follow-up period.
- Learn about the impact of the program on the goal orientations of primary school students.
the importance of studying:
Theoretical importance:
The importance of the study emerged from the importance of the age group that I addressed.
The study gained its importance from its handling of a dangerous phenomenon, which is the phenomenon of school bullying, where studies showed the negative impact of this phenomenon on the psychological, emotional and mental aspects of the student.
The study also dealt with another variable, which is the goal orientations, which have a major role in how individuals gain experiences in achievement situations, because it provides the individual with a framework that enables him to assess his achievement behavior.
The importance of goal orientations is evident in that it has a major impact on students ’choice of achievement tasks and their concept of academic success, and it also has a role in selecting learning strategies that students choose and also their performance in the classroom.
Applied importance:
Scarcity of Arab studies that have provided treatment programs to deal with the phenomenon of bullying.
Provide educational proposals and recommendations to be used in an attempt to reach bullying-free schools.
Educating teachers, parents and students about what bullying behavior is and its gravity.
The limits of the study:
Human limitations, which are represented in the study sample:
The study sample is determined from the fourth, fifth and sixth grade students, and it is divided into twogroups ,experimental group that will be applied to the program, and other control group that will not be exposed to any of the program activities.
Time limits: The program was implemented during the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.
Spatial limits: The program was implemented at Omar bin Abdul-Aziz 2 Primary School in BeniSuef Governorate.
Methodological limits: The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach with a design of the experimental and control groups.
Statistical methods:
The researcher used the following statistical methods:
1- Test (T) to indicate the differences between two linked samples.
Statistical data was processed with the statistical program Spss.v 19
Results :
• There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the Telemetry on bullying.
•There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in Pre-testand the Telemetryon the bullying scale
• There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the Telemetry and trackingon the bullying scale
•There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the Telemetry on the goal orientation scale
•There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in Pre-testand the Telemetryon the goal orientation scale
•There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the Telemetry and trackingon the goal orientation scale.
