Abstract Imines were derived from primary amines and carbonyl compounds They were discovered by a German chemist Nobel Prize winner Hugo Schiff in 1864. Imine ligands were excellent coordinating ligands. Their importance was due to from stable complexes easily with a variety of metal ions. The coordination chemistry of imine ligand was of considerable interes due to interesting applications in medicine material science and catalysis. |
