Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of time of remineralization whether before, after, or before and after bleaching on the color change with fluoride-free and fluoride-containing bleaching agents. A total of 56 permanent anterior bovine teeth were divided into two main group each of 28 teeth according to the bleaching material were used (Opalescence® Boost PF 40%, Whitesmile Power Whitening YF 40% HP) each main group was divided into 4 subgroups each of 7 teeth according to exposure to the different time of remineralization using Tooth Mousse® MI Paste® into; without application, before bleaching, after bleaching, before and after bleaching. Color measurement done by used Spectrophotometer VITA Easyshade Compact. Color change (∆E) was measured, tabulated and statistically analyzed. Results of color change (∆E) represented by mean and standard deviation (SD) showed that the application of different time of remineralization using Tooth Mousse® MI Paste® whether before , after and before and after bleaching had no significant effect on the color change (ΔE). On the other hand, using fluoride-free bleaching agent and fluoride-containing bleaching agents had no significant difference on the color change ∆E. Within the limitations of the current study, the following conclusions could be suggested: 1- The time of application of the remineralization agent (CCP-ACP) with the bleaching procedure whether it is applied before or after or before and after bleaching does not affect the color change during bleaching. 2- The presence of fluoride ions in the bleaching material does not affect the final color change due to bleaching. |
