Abstract Gilthead Sea bream broodstocks which used in the present study were collected from Manzala Lake in Damitta governorate and Suez Canal Company for Fish Farming and Aquaculture at Ismailia Governorate, Egypt. This study shows the possibility of induced spawning of Gilthead Sea bream in captivity by exposing to program of water temperature and artificial photoperiod for 4 months and HCG injection. The best results of female gonadal weight and egg diameter were recorded in T4 at 18 °C after 48 h from injection, fecundity in T4 at 18 °C after 24 h from injection. The highest female GSI was observed in T3 at TP4 followed by T4. The peak level in female of FSH was recorded in T3 at TP4, LH in T4 at TP4 after 48 h from injection and progesterone at T4 at TP4 after 24 h from injection and the highest level of E2 was recorded before the experiment beginning. The highest value of male gonadal weight and GSI and the peak levels of FSH, LH, Total and Free Testosterone in male at T3 at TP4.
