Abstract The present study investigated the effectiveness of using the (TPR) method in developing EFL primary pupils’ English use of prepositions .The participants were 68 from grade six primary stage pupils .They were divided into two groups :control group(34)pupils and experimental group (34) pupils .The experimental group was exposed to use TPR method in learning English prepositions ,whereas the control group was taught by the traditional way .One instrument was used as a pre-post test to measure participants use of Eng prepos. Results of the study indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and control group on post -administration of prepositions test (location -movement-time) and collocations in favor of experimental group This indicates that the TPR method is effective in enhancing the primary six pupils’ use of English prepositions. |
