Abstract

It’s normal to pregnant women feel a little worried and stressed during pregnancy, but for some people anxiety can become a real problem and they will need professional help. Antenatal anxiety is common. Pregnancy-related anxiety (PRA) has attracted considerable research attention, but questions remain about its effect and consequences with emphasis regard chronic diseases.
In other words, anxiety and chronic illnesses during pregnancy appear to lead to several pregnancy and delivery complications compared to either condition alone. However, there are very few studies on the associations between comorbid anxiety and chronic illnesses and the birth outcomes. The investment in women health especially during pregnancy will protect them and their offspring. As part of preconception care, providers should be vigilant and screen for anxiety among women of reproductive age, as the detection and appropriate management of these conditions can reduce the occurrence of adverse pregnancy and family outcomes. The maternity nurse plays an important role in antenatal care especially in managing chronic illness and anxiety.
Basically nursing process is a fundamental process of the nursing care. Assessment is a critical role of professional nurses, and requires an understanding of client needs or problems on which nursing diagnoses are developed. Collecting data for the sole purpose of completing some mandatory form care is important in order to provide an individualized care for our patients. Collecting data with the intent of identifying critical information, considering nursing diagnoses, and then driving in-depth assessment to validate and prioritize diagnosis this is the hallmark of professional nursing.
