المستخلص

The present study sheds light on the Developmental Evaluation of the Electric Power in Al-Fayoum District. The current study highlights the geography of energy, which is one of the branches of economic geography. The study consists of five chapters preceded by an introduction preface the significance of the study, a study of the location, the reason of choosing this areas, Hypotheses of the study, aims of the study and approaches of the study. The study is ended with a conclusion that recommends the study results and other recommendation for further studies followed by a list of primary and secondary resources.
The First Chapter traces the development of the nominal capacity of the generation stations, development of electricity quantity, hydroelectric power stations, development of their production, and the study of the advantages of the water stations and their factors in El- Fayoum district.
The Second Chapter deals with transfer and distribution of electric power in El-Fayoum district by shedding light on the development of electric power transmission including transformer stations, medium voltage distribution network, distribution panels, medium voltage cables and cables.
The Third Chapter handles the consumption of electric power in El-Fayoum district by presenting the quantitative development of electricity consumption and the distribution of electricity consumption geographically, as well as the study of the distribution of electricity consumption on the sectoral level. This chapter also presents the average per capita consumption of electricity, and finally study the pricing of electric power.
The Fourth chapter traces the natural and human factors affecting the length of the electricity network in the area of the study, where it is divided into natural factors and human factors, in addition to the geographical factors that affect the consumption of electric energy in El- Fayoum district.
The Fifth chapter deals with the most important problems facing the electrical power system at El Fayoum district (production, transportation, distribution and consumption), and presenting the most suitable solutions to solve these problems in addition to a study of energy future and solar power in El-Fayoum district.
To sum up, the study recommends the following for further studies:
-Raise the efficiency of the transmission and distribution of electricity by replacing and renewing dilapidated lines and organizing maintenance programs and periodic cleaning of the electrical network to reduce the phenomenon of electric flash and pollution of insulators.
-Coverage of low voltage conductors passing by residential block and narrow streets to avoid the hazards of falling, and taking into account the safety distance between connections and residential buildings.
-Enforcement of laws on the violation of electricity, whether theft or irregularities.
-Using renewable sources of energy, especially solar and biogas, should be exploited to ensure energy needs in the future.
