Giving interest to the child is a kind of urbanization and to children is a form of urbanization and civilization as well as it is a human important need because the child of today is the man of tomorrow. Human life is a continuum of episodes in which the present is influenced by the past and will influence in the future, because the child’s pleasant or bitter and harsh experiences leave their touch and impacts in his life in the other stages. There is no doubt that the years of childhood reflected on the personality of the individual in the stages of his next life. The early childhood is one of the most important stages of the child’s development because in this stage the basis of his personality are put, developed and manifested in the stages of his future life. Every child is born and has enormous hidden energies for development and growth, but these energies may take a negative or positive path; if they are given a support, care and attention they will flourish, and if they are neglected, it will disappear. Therefore, kindergarten is considered a period of infinite possibilities. It is the crucial period in which a child is able to learn and seek his ways towards the outside world. (Abd al-Jawad, 5117: 55)
The importance of this stage is also characterized by its high flexibility, in which the child is more responsive to modify of his behavior, the ease of shaping and changing more than any other developmental stage, and thus be more responsive to the services and therapeutic positions provided to him, and facilitates at this stage change and modify the behavior to the right approach of the child growth. In the early years of the child’s life he becomes a socially friendly person who tends to join the group of children around him and tries hardly to be compatible with them, which requires from parents and educators to give him the opportunity to develop his emotional skills that “facilitate his interaction with society where he lives and takes from it the seeds of his social experiences.
The achievement of compatibility is the aim of every human and all the workers in the mental health field “and the concept of compatibility refers to a harmonious relationship with the environment include the ability to satisfy most of the needs of the child” and meet most of the biological and social requirements which the child is required to meet so the compatibility includes all variations And changes in behavior that are necessary to satisfy in a relationship with the environment and peers (Kamel, 5170: 55).
The child’s behavior grows with him since the childhood. ”The child takes a special behavior in dealing with others and peers and in solving the problems he encounters. ”The child, if faced with a psychological or social obstacle or the if he has a psychological conflict that prevent his motives and causes him anxiety and distress; he will look for taking what relieve his psychological stresses till he find the style of behavior ensures him the comfort, he may find in shame or generate sympathy from others that the desired method or find in stubbornness or procrastination or control out of the crisis, and if this method succeeded in reducing the child’s tension and bring some comfort “ he will repeat it whenever it has difficulty until this behavior become over time a habit that usually characterize his personality and a particular character and this method is called ”the individual’s life style” or general style of compatibility, it is the special method of the child in solving his problems in dealing with others and in adapting to himself and his community. Many philosophers and educational thinkers have stressed the importance of starting in the development of the individual’s life skills from the early stages of development. Therefore, efforts are being made to identify and develop skills from pre-school to university education and beyond. (Sulaiman Abdel Wahid 1070: 51)
Life skills are especially important because they help to shape and form the personality of the individual and prepare him to cope with the issues of the day and the problems of daily life to be a creative and productive person capable of the development and change. (Bahjat Ahmad 10070: 7)
