Abstract

Introduction:. The ratio of early mitral inflow velocity (E) to global diastolic strain rate (e’sr) [the E/e’sr ratio] as detected by speckle tracking has been proposed in assessment of LV function and has been proved as an accurate tool in assessment of ACS The aim of work: To evaluate the accuracy of using the ratio of early mitral inflow velocity (E) to global diastolic strain rate (e’sr) as measured by speckle tracking to predict coronary artery stenosis severity in patients with chronic stable angina pectoris. Research Plan:. Our study comprised 50 patients with chronic stable angina pectoris in the period from August, 2017 to April, 2018, whom were subjected to careful clinical examination, revision of pre angiographic investigation, conventional Doppler, speckle tracking study and analysis of coronary angiogram. Results: Conclusion:. The E/ e’sr Ratio was a good predictor of Obstructed CA and a poor predictor of non-Obstructed CA and the E/e’sr ratio is an accurate predictor of the severity of coronary artery stenosis among patients with chronic stable angina and the value of (>0.86) can predict the presence of CAD. In conclusion the E/e’sr ratio can be used in prediction of coronary artery stenosis severity before subjecting patient to angiogram.
