Abstract Eclampsia Considered a Complication of Pregnancy that induced hypertension; it is commonly defined as new onset of grand mal Seizure Activity and / or unexplained coma in a Woman with Signs or Symptoms of sever pre-eclampsia; and it is manifesls as one seizure or more, with each seizure generally lasting for 60-75 secods There are types of eclampsia exist based upon the timing of eclamptic seizure onset which includes; antepartum eclampsia (occurring after 20 weeks gestation or prior to labor most often in third trimester befor 37 weeks of gestation) whereas intra partum and postpartum . However, about 80% of the antepartum eclampsia occurring intrapartum or witin the first 48 hours following delivery, and the antepartum eclampsia are accounts for 38-45% of eclampsia, and is associated with a greater maternal and fetal morbidity and moratility rate. The incidence of eclampsia has been relatively stable at 1.6 to 10 cases per 10.000 deliveries in the developed countries. However in the developing countries the incidence varies widely from 6 to 157 cases per 10.000 deliveries. The nurse role for providing consistent nusing care is very important for eclamptic cases as well the nurse the nurse must be competent in their knowledge and practices and should be aware how to deal accurately before during and the monitoring aftre fits Research:- Adescriptive cross sectional research design was utilized to fulfill the aim of this study. |
