Abstract This study aimed to investigate the effect of supplementing broiler diet with fenugreek or rosemary on the control of E-Coli infection, based on the performance, hematological, biochemical, antioxidant, immunological, and pathological parameters. One-hundred-twenty cobb broilers were allotted to 6equal groups according to feed additive and E-Coli infection; control non-infected group (CN), rosemary non-infected group (RN), fenugreek non-infected group (FN), control infected (CI), rosemary infected (RI), fenugreek infected (FI) group. E.Coli made a reduction in broiler performance, along with some biochemical, oxidant and immunological changes related to tissue destructive changes. Fenugreek has the ability to reduce the adverse effects of E.Coli infection through improvement of chicken general health condition, and reducing the clinicopathological changes associated with E.coli infection. Rosemary, although its antioxidant properties, it couldn’s overcome E.coli infection effect in the broiler. |
