Abstract

The present thesis includes preparation, characterization and studying Influence of cobalt chloride up to (32%) on the optical and electrical properties of the PVC/PS (80/20) wt % polymer blend.Samples were successfully synthesized via casting technique using tetrahydrofuran (THF) as a common solvents, while different techniques had been used to investigate synthesized samples: Experimental studies such as, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) for structural investigation , Ultraviolet and visible (UV/Vis.) spectroscopy for optical properties, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) for magnetic properties, DC conductivity for electrical properties, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for surface morphology detections.All previously mentioned techniques suggest that CoCl2 improve the optical and electrical properties of polymer blend.
