Abstract

This study aims to determine relations between PLR, NLR and coronary artery disease severity.
This study also compare between the two ratios in the sensitivity of prediction of severity.
Forty patients with CAD included in this study. They was evaluated by coronary angiogram and the severity of CAD was measured by Gensini score.
According to Gensini score the patients were subdivided into two groups:
Severe group which included twenty patients.
Mild group which included twenty patients.
We had also a control group of twenty persons.
CBC and differential leucocytic count was done for all patients and control group of this study
NLR and PLR were calculated for all groups and compared with the Gensini score.
High NLR was associated with CAD severity and could predict severity with a cutoff point of >2.4
High PLR was associated with CAD severity and could predict severity with a cutoff point of >99.2
PLR was more sensitive than NLR in prediction of CAD severity.
The two ratios had a relation with ischaemic wall motion abnormalities.
