Since the dawn of history Reading is considered one of the most important means of human
learning, through it, man can acquire a lot of knowledge and science and thoughts. Reading can
lead to activating the practical and mindful life and reading can stick them to their practical
specializations. Beside paper reading in the last few years, electronic reading has started with all its
positive and negative sides and by it two teams were formed one team defended paper reading and
the other side indulged electronic reading. Reading is still a container of traditional and non
traditional ways as a good means of acquiring knowledge and culture.
The problem of study: Throughout cultural and knowledge needs for the staff and their
assistants this can only be done by continuous reading. Although there are practical reading that
dealt atlictudes declines of reading or determined only electronic reading. There are no studies
that dealt side life in reading in the age of technology specially the staff and their assistants in
university. This study tries to find the interest of the staff and their assistants their motives
towards electronic reading and its requirements and their favourite kind of reading and the effect
of the electronic reading on the paper reading. The researcher depended on the curriculum of true
study at the age of technology using questionnaire as a tool for researches.
This study included the introductory and three chapters, the first chapter dealt with the age of
technology its meaning and its bases, the second chapter dealt with true reading and its practice at
the age of technology. In the third chapter the researcher discussed the relation of reading at the
age of technology and the changes of study.
The study leads to some of conclusions, including:
 The interest of the staff and their assistants in reading and their motives towards reading.
 The majority used asample of reading in electronic reading and its requirement.
 In the point of the study there’s an effect of electronic reading on the paper reading.
 There are effects of study changes on reading at the age of technology, there is no relation
in study changes with the staff and their assistant at university of true reading.
