المستخلص _I !Open Spaces in Governmental Schools for Elementary Educatiod __ ~A~bs”””tLlllra”””,ct Research Abstract: Urbanization standard In countries is strongly linked to the childhood level of importance in it & the achievements it reach in serving it, the child is the main objective on the development way in all the world’s areas. Accordingly, it was important to give a great interest to the child & his surrounding environment which considered the main determinant of development in all aspects of community due to what it provides in culture awareness development & building up his character & features which in turns may reflect positively or negatively in the child behavioral development. As the child reacts and responds with the surrounding environment from his early childhood, which is considered the first lesson in which helps him to positively develop his intellectual mentality. So, the open environment surrounding the child in the primary schools is not less important than the school role, its eeducational and instructional process but it complete & enhance it. As the educational process is an integrated one, which states that the basic education if one of the child’s rights, the research studies the open spaces in primary stage at the governmental schools through two parts, one theoretical and addresses the concept of the basic education and its objectives and principles, to identify the child needs for the open spaces in the primary schools in his different growth stages. Accordingly it was a must to assess the growth requirements for each age stage & its need for the surrounding open space to support him on the growth, development & even playing. And then shifting to the definition of external blank spaces concept, its shapes & its types with defining the urban design concept, the purpose for such spaces and the factors influencing it, with studying the vanous pattern designs for school buildings which recommended by the General Authority for Educational . Buildings and the elements which combines the open spaces for the school in the primary education schools. The research also includes a study of principles for selecting the primary school sites different areas in Arab Republic of Egypt & the capacity of the school site; it also includes coordinated elements for the external location of the school according each sector in Arab Republic of Egypt. And this was launched through analyzing samples for the governmental primary schools in different cities in the climate region & analyzing them in terms of assessing the level of care & recognition they provide for the child to meet his needs from the open spaces. Specific requirements should be considered while developing these open spaces depending on each province circumstances in Arab republic of Egypt. |
