Abstract Introduction: Definition of head injuries and TBI complications related to the injury and its effect on morbidity and mortality rates. The aim of work: The aim of this study is to follow up patients with moderate head trauma who were admitted t Mansoura University Emergency Hospital (MUEH) in the period from 1 Dec. 2015 to 30 Jul. 2016 until discharge and determine the management and outcomes of moderate head trauma. Research Plan: Recording demographic and medical data, clinical and topical head examination and medical laboratory tests and radiological and registration of complications of TBI immediate upon entering and after surgery and one week after the surgery and the period of stay intensive care unit (days) and the duration of stay in hospital (days) and mortality. Results: TBI is a serious public health problem that affect all society members. Conclusion: there were different risk factors that affect patients with moderate head trauma management and outcome. |
