Abstract MDCT plays an important role in detecting and evaluating the hepatic affection in different hematological disorders as it’s the most common imaging modality used in follow up of these patients helping radiologist to detect the nature of liver affection which help in proper management of these patients. A retrospective study was done on 150 patients (90male and 60 female), their ages ranged from 6 to 78 years old with the mean age 44 years. These patients had confirmed to have a blood disease. Of the 150 patients, 96 were diagnosed and pathologically proved as NHL (62 male and 34 female) , 25 were proved as other types of lymphoma , 28 were proved as different types of leukemia and one case autoimmune hemolytic anemia. These patients were clinically and radiologically evaluated to detect liver affection in different hematological disorders. 69 patients from the 150 developed abdominal CT findings in liver and 81 patients had no findings in liver at time of examination . The majority of these cases presented by abdominal pain. Radiologically, the liver affection is the most common finding in liver in patients with different hematological disorders (42 cases), hepatic focal lesions ( 27 cases),also most common associated pathological findings in these patients was abdominal lymphadenopathy and splenomegaly. Biopsy was taken from these cases to confirm diagnosis. |
