Abstract 1) Disorders in the central auditory processing are detected in patients with ischemic stroke, whatever the site of lesion. 2) Dichotic digits test & Pitch discrimination test are the most frequently affected psychophysical tests in patients with ischemic stroke. 3) The Auditory brainstem response (ABR) was the auditory evoked potential with the highest percent of abnormality in ischemic stroke patients. 4) In ischemic stroke patients, the Abnormality of P300 could be more attributed to the cognitive reserve. 5) The site of lesion and the affected circulation has no specific effect on the results of the central auditory tests. |
