Abstract Finally, it can be concluded that : The highest prevalence of Cichlidogyrus was recorded in Bani Abbad (drainage water) while the lowest prevalence was recorded in Baher Moesse (Wild fish). The highest prevalence of Trichodina was recorded in Baher Moesse (Wild fish) while the lowest prevalence was recorded in Bani Abbad (drainage water). There is an inverse relationship between the different concentrations of heavy metals on the intensity and vitality of Cichlidogyrus and Trichodina species in the gills of fish. Heavy metals affect negatively on general health condition, which was clarified through hematological, biochemical and histopathological examination of these fishes. |
